When renowned matchmaker, Lucy Marks, meets a handsome businessman while waiting at a restaurant, she feels an immediate spark. But this spark is squandered when, the next day, she learns the mystery man is none other than Finn Grayson: her new client. With a strict “no dating clients” policy, Lucy organises a date for him with one of her clients.

Lucy joins her soon-to-be-wed sister on a weekend trip to look at a vineyard as a potential wedding venue. Upon arrival, she is surprised to find the owner’s son is Finn and he’ll be joining them. Lucy realises that the sparks she felt on night one were real, but refuses to break her rules.

Back in the city, Finn and Lucy continue to get to know each other, but Lucy can’t push the feelings she has for Finn away enough for it to not sting when Finn and the woman she has chosen for him really hit it off. Lucy is faced with the ultimate dilemma: risk losing her reputation as Seattle’s best matchmaker and go out with Finn, or let the potential love of her life slip away with a woman she has set him up with.
